Stuffing Ball

Happy Thanksgiving! Our stuffing ball adventures took us to Hagerstown this year. We brought along Alan, Lindy, and Clea for a fantastic feast from Vickie and Dave. It was a great time, tremendous food, and even a walk down by the river on a beautiful afternoon.

The balance of the long weekend found us at home catching up on a bunch of house projects. Of course Monday morning is coming soon and most of these projects are still a bit unraveled. We'll tie them up next weekend, or so we hope... For now, enjoy the pics and hope you had a great weekend too!

Turkey Chasing

Saturday was a blast at we headed out to Poplar Springs Animal Sanctuary for their gigantic day of the turkeys Thanksgiving celebration potluck. The massive amounts of food -- all vegan -- to give thanks to the animals reminded me of church potlucks growing up. This time, there was no question on whether an item was meat or cake.

Alan and Lindy got us jazzed about it and we were all joined by Ali, Sean, and Danny. The shorties in our group were pretty thrilled with all the animal petting, though a bit apprehensive 'round the more active turkeys that towered over them. All the animals were big -- adult size and mature. We could pet and feed them all. It was so cool. Little Danny was especially excited that the farm was in-line with the airplane approach to Dulles.

Wedding reception in the Promised Land

At long last! We've loaded the pictures from the Minnesota wedding reception. They really turned out great, thank you Loren! It was really a fantastic day and there are lots of great memories to go with these pictures.

Chillin in November

November has rolled in and we're back to getting some work done on the yard and patio with Christian's parents help. It's good to settle in a bit, with time to play with the leaves now dropping. Arabella really seems to enjoy sitting down in the flowers to get an up-close look. In anticipation of a thanksgiving feast, Arabella's cutting her first tooth. So far, not too grumpy.
