April is for butterflies, May is for beach babies

Unbelievable. Time is slipping by way too fast. Pretty soon, I'll be down to an annual update on this blog. April brought us back outdoors indulging in warm weather, spring flowers, and mowing the lawn. It's amazing what each new season brings in changes in the girls from the year before. The most pronounced outdoors is naturally that Thalia is propelled on her own two feet and becoming less interested in eating through her environments. Arabella is more daring on the playgrounds and gets the whole sunglasses thing now. They both love the sand, the water, and bugs. Why bugs???? We've also moved a few steps forward in playing together, rather than just in the same space. They can really get one another wound up and their love for one another is obvious, if not occasionally suffocating. Unfortunately, we've also entered a phase of challenging restaurant behavior with Thalia -- she's just not excited to sit still for long stretches. So, we'll improvise with takeout. With this kind of weather, our own patio is the best spot in town.

Enjoy the pics from family day at a museum and a visit from Uncle Jack as well as a weekend to the beach for our first splash of the season.
