Happy Birthday Arabella, Happy Halloween, and Weekend Escape!
As usual, there's been no shortage of excitement at camp Redmond. Arabella's birthday quickly consumed the rest of October with several great celebrations -- cupcakes for school, a puppet show with the four of us, and a moon bounce party with all her friends and family. We had a blast! She loved picking out her outfit for the big bash -- no surprise, it was pink, pink, and more pink with a tutu and sparkles flying everywhere. She's growing up into her own personality and indulges in every adventure she can. Her spirit is pretty darn contagious and her easy smile can melt you to pieces.
We also had a great time at cousin Brook's birthday party. We love the hayride and cow train! It's great to be able to celebrate with cousins close by.
Halloween was a spectacle not to be forgotten. We had a blast at Ali and Sean's annual party and neighborhood parade. The girls were Root'n Toot'n cowgirls with so many adoring fans. Thanks Grandma Renee for the fantastic outfits! Arabella then turned up the excitement by trying out a ballerina get-up for school and her favorite dragon outfit for trick-or-treating. I can't blame her, it's super cozy and who wouldn't give candy to a dragon? Pics and more Pics
Moving into Fall we had a wonderful weekend escape with friends to Luray VA. We rented out a 200+ year old farm for the 9 adults and 5 kids. It was super relaxing with an outdoor hot tub, a campfire pit, and lot's of leaves, area trails, and the caverns for exploring. It helps to escape with folks who like to cook too!
Now it's Thanksgiving and we're extra grateful for our close friends, loving family, strong health, and fortunate positions in life. I love this time of year!
